Support Groups

Cancer Lifeline Lymphedema Support Group: MEETS on 2nd Saturday OF EVERY MONTH, 12:30pm to 2:30pm on CAMPUS OF NORTHWEST HOSPITAL in SEATTLE, WASHINGTON

Under the dedicated leadership of Dianne Graham, MA, LMHC, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and fellow lymphedema patient, a best practices model for support group engagement guides each gathering. Based on the interests of the group, and with the coordinating help of Basha Brownstein, Community Program Manager at Cancer Lifeline, the group actively hosts speakers on a range of topics related to better understanding of living with lymphedema and thriving while doing so. The Northwest Lymphedema Center is proud to underwrite this group.

NOTE: Beginning in May 2018, the Cancer Lifeline Support Group will move to the campus of Northwest Hospital in the Medical Arts Building, ROOM 112.  Parking is free on Saturdays in the lot adjacent to the Medical Arts Building.

Overlake Hospital SWELL Group:  MEETS on 3rd Tuesday OF EVERY MONTH, 6:30 pm to 8pm in BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON

Can’t make the support group in Seattle because of a schedule conflict or is it a bit too far of a drive? You are welcome to attend the Swell Group Support Network in Bellevue.

Led by Rachel Stapleton, a social worker in private practice in Kirkland, the meetings are specifically designed to meet the needs of people living with lymphedema. The meetings are varied and may include guest speakers, people sharing their stories, product information, and techniques for managing lymphedema. Family members or significant others are invited to attend as well. People who live out of state can join too: presently there is one participant from Kansas who attends via FaceTime!

Overlake Medical Clinics Outpatient Rehabilitation Services, 1417 116th Ave NE, Suite 110, Bellevue WA 98004.
