July SWELL Group Meeting on the Eastside

The July meeting is the start of Cancer Lifeline managing the SWELL group support meetings. Mary Ellen Shands is the Clinical Program Manager at Cancer Lifeline and will be responsible for overseeing SWELL’s support group program. Rachel Stapleton, a social worker in private practice in Kirkland, will be taking Magdalena Pertoldova’s place as facilitator. Rachel and Mary Ellen will be at the July meeting. Magdalena was concerned about the future of SWELL after her departure and so she was thrilled when Cancer Lifeline stepped forward to take over her place.

Please note that the monthly meetings have been changed to the third Tuesdays?of every month from 6:30 to 8 pm. The meeting place has not changed though there is talk of moving the group to the new Cancer Center Conference Room at Overlake Hospital.
