June 2020 ZOOM Gathering of the UW Medicine and Northwest Hospital and Medical Center Lymphedema Support Group
June 13 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
To be updated as we learn more and get closer to this event date about whether we will be meeting in person…
But for now we, along with our Cancer Lifeline partners, invite all that can to attend the ZOOM assisted Lymphedema Support Group Meeting at what otherwise would have been—but may still be— hosted at the University of Washington Medicine/ Northwest Hospital and Medical Center, in the Medical Arts Building.
Please join the gathering!
On June 13th, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m, Molly Allison, MS, OTR/L, of Holistic Orthopedics, and Colleagues, will present about Nutrition and Lymphedema. Learn how food choices affect this condition and how better nutrition can improve symptoms. From 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., Vivian Foxx, MSW, LICSW, our Facilitator will lead a group discussion where we can share our stories, experiences, and thoughts. Welcome to all Lymphedema patients, caregivers, therapists, medical professionals, or others involved in Lymphedema care.
Below are instructions for downloading and using the ZOOM portal. For online security purposes, this will be a moderated discussion with a doorkeeper. You will be allowed to ‘enter’ the discussion once the moderator, Basha Brownstein, Cancer Lifeline’s Community Program Manager grants access. So please be prepared to wait until she permits you ‘in the room.’ If possible, please register in advance following the instructions below.
